Since 1966, Glenview has been deeply rooted in Ottawa’s real estate industry, delivering exceptional commercial and residential communities with hands-on experience, deep insight into buyer preferences and an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of quality and service.
Glenview Homes was introduced with the launch of Monahan Landing in Kanata. Now, with a portfolio of five successful master-planned communities and more on the way, we’ve built homes in many of Ottawa’s most desirable neighbourhoods, including Barrhaven, Orleans, Kanata and Kemptville.
Timelines and Special Requests
It varies, depending on a number of factors:
- Upon receipt of a building permit and with shovels beginning your basement excavation, there’s typically a 6 month building cycle for single detached homes and townhomes.
- However, new homes are sometimes sold prior to roads and site servicing being complete. In these cases, actual home construction does not begin until the roads and site servicing are complete. Closing dates in these instances may be 20 months or longer from the time of sale.
We are a production home builder and not a custom home builder. In that regard, our floorplans have been designed with homeowners’ needs in mind, and we offer many different pre-planned design options for you to personalize your home’s interior features and finishes.
Referral and Co-Broke Programs
Our referral program gives buyers the opportunity to make your friend a neighbour! Existing Glenview buyers or homeowners will earn money for referring a friend who buys a home from us. As a bonus, your friend will also earn a referral bonus. Additional terms and conditions apply, call or visit our sales office for more details.
Yes, we currently co-operate with licensed brokers/agents at 1%. The realtor must register their clients prior to their arrival or accompany them into the sales office. Additional terms and conditions apply, call or visit our sales office for more details.
After You Purchase
The scheduling of your appointment will depend on your closing date. You’ll be contacted by the design studio to coordinate appointment times. In the meantime, to get the most out of the process, you can get ready for your appointments by visiting the design studio during our open house hours on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. We ask that all Visitors please call ahead for an appointment to ensure we can accommodate you.
Yes. Glenview provides one guided tour of your home during the construction process. For your safety and management of liability, we’re unable to allow buyers to walk through the homes unattended.
You can expect some variation during the construction process. At times, it’ll seem like construction is progressing fast, and other times it may seem slow. There will be times when the home and lot are neat and tidy, and other times when it seems cluttered or messy. All of this is normal in the new home construction process.
All homes are covered by a Glenview Homes warranty, which is backed by Tarion. Please visit the Tarion website for more information on the warranty coverage provided.
